IBPS generally conducts this SO Exam in two steps all candidates required to qualified in both. First is Common Written exam (CWE) and second is interview. Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is an autonomous agency in India, which started its operation in 1975 as Personnel Selection Services (PSS). In 1984, IBPS became an independent entity at the behest of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and Public Sector Banks. IBPS is envisioned as self-governed academic and research oriented Institute, with a mission of enhancing human-resource development through personnel assessment. In 2011, IBPS announced a Common Written Examination (CWE) for the selection Officers and Clerks in Indian banks. IBPS CWE is now mandatory for anyone who seeks an employment in 29 public sector and Regional Rural banks. IBPS periodically accepts the exam applications from the candidates at their website, and the exams are organized at various locations in the country in online mode. Aspirants have to go through interview process after clearing the online test conduct by the IBPS. On the basis of interview candidates placed in Regional Rural Bank.



IBPS SO Written exams have been scheduled to be on 30th and 31st January 2016. Candidates need to prepare for the exams and work on all the subjects to clear the sectional cutoff marks for the IBPS SO. IBPS SO exam is basically a multiple choice questions online paper which contains 200 questions with multi choice answers and the (IBPS SO Syllabus) topics are:-
  1.  English language - 25 marks
  2.  Reasoning - 50 marks
  3. Quantitative Aptitude - 50 marks
  4.  Professional Knowledge - 75 marks
Total = 200 marks

NOTE: Law Officer & Rajbhasha Adhikari do not have Aptitude paper instead they have General Awareness paper.
