DOs :-

1. Always speak the truth as that will reflect your true personality and will help you in clearing the interview and getting recommended.

2. Always pose a smile, no matter what the odds are, no matter how difficult the task is for you.

3. Mingle with all the candidates. Gel with them as they are not your competitors, they are your buddies. Their should be more of WE instead of ME.

4. You are here to join the forces so behave like a gentleman/ lady. Discipline, over here, can take you to new heights.

5. Be punctual, at all places. Be it testing hall or ground tasks or even MESS.

6. Wear decent clothes. It doesn't matter how "good looking" you are but "looking good" is important here.

7. Be genuine while you are performing in your tests. Your ideas, thoughts should be original.

8. If, in one or two tests, you don't perform well, then don't lose heart. Remember, you are judged on the basis of your performance in all the tests. So keep performing well till the last moment.

9. Try and show your true personality , instead of what you have mugged up in the coaching centers. Remember, gentry who is sitting at the SSB panel is too smart and can easily figure out when and where you are trying to be smart.

10. Ask your fellow buddies to join you for lunch or dinner, that wins their confidence. Have fun at the center. Just be like a free bird and perform your best. You will be recommended.

1. Don't try to compete with others and don't even think about judging others. You are here to get yourself selected and not to decide who is best- you or others.

2. Don't go on showing the assessors the 15 OLQs. Your performance itself should speak about your qualities.

3. Many of you think that candidates are 24x7 observed and that even the laundry person is observing you and can report of your behavior to the assessors. People, You are judged only on the basis of your performance in all the tests. Once the test is over, you are no more assessed. However that doesn't give you the liberty of creating a havoc in the premises thinking that you can do whatever you want. If you do any misconduct, you are liable to be handed over to the local police.

4. Don't lose your temper at any cost. Even when you are pressurized by the assessors. They are just trying to see whether you work well in unforeseen situations. So be calm and maintain your composure. They are looking for candidates who do not crack under pressure.

5. Do not get too friendly with the assessors and don't be lazy in your answers.

6. Do not disobey the staff members. Don't behave as if you have already become an officer and you have the privilege over them, please, it doesn't work that way in the forces. Its a myth. Don't count the chicks before they hatch. Behave properly with everyone at the selection center.

7. Don't try to act too smart in front of the assessors, they will catch you immediately, resulting in your rejection.

8. Whatever amenities you are being provided with at the center, use it optimally and do not waste anything. Just because your food and accommodation is free of cost doesn't mean you have the will to use it according to your whims and fancies.

9. Most importantly, strictly adhere to the rules and regulations of the selection center. Follow them properly, not to show that you are a gentleman/lady, but it is a moral thing and you need to be a good citizen of this country.

10. Listen carefully to all the instructions given by the assessors and avoid confusions. Don't be lethargic.

11. Do not be very proud when you are recommended, please be humane and humble and polite. You still are the same human being. Also, don't Binge!
